B.Sc. in Education Studies
CAO Course Code: CM010
The B.Sc. in Education Studies is a Level 8, four year honours degree programme accredited by the University of Dublin, Trinity College. It is designed to address the needs of those interested in working as educators, policymakers and educational administrators outside school settings and to serve the growing demand for courses which provide students with an opportunity to engage with the broad field of education. Although the new degree will not qualify graduates as teachers, it would provide an excellent foundation for students who wish to go on to complete a higher diploma in primary teaching. The combination of the core, specialisation and optional modules with work placements and a research dissertation allows students to experience the depth and breadth of education in a meaningful and integrated way.
Higher Diploma in Education (Primary)

Interviews are held in arrangement with the Department of Education and Science and the Colleges of Education prior to the commencement of each course. An oral Irish interview is also conducted.
