Marino Conference Centre
The Conference Centre of the Marino Institute of Education is ideally located, combining the convenience of proximity to the city centre, the airport and the M50 with the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Since the mid 1990s business at Marino Conference Centre has grown steadily under the stewardship of the Centre’s friendly and experienced staff. Many conference clients, having ‘discovered’ Marino, return year after year. Significant clients include the Department of Education and Science, ATC Language and Travel, NUI Galway, Northern Area Health Board, Open Training College, Open University and various professional and commercial bodies.
The facilities available to Conference Centre clients have expanded with the completion of Nagle-Rice Hall and the refurbishment of St. Mary’s. The show piece of the new facilities is the sports hall which is available as a conference venue which can comfortably accommodate 450 people. It has also been used very successfully as an examination venue. The hall may be hired, at an hourly rate, for indoor sports. Nagle-Rice Hall also includes a fine lecture theatre which can seat 150 people, four new seminar rooms and a modern dining facility. On-campus catering is provided by Eurest and conferencing clients can select from a wide and varied menu.
Marino Conference Centre is based in St. Mary's, where the 2007 refurbishment project provided a new conferencing and visitor reception area together with three dedicated conference rooms. Conference Centre clients can choose from a range of rooms, from smaller rooms, furnished in traditional board or meeting room style, to a 150 seat lecture theatre equipped to the highest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standards. These developments mean that the Conference Centre is better placed to meet the requirements of its clients.
Overnight visitor accommodation is available on the upper floor of St. Mary's, where the thirty- nine bedrooms may be booked throughout the year.
